Dwight Porter

Strategic Operating Partner

Dr. Dwight Porter is an Independent Strategic Operating Partner emeritus at Valeas, where he advises the Firm’s portfolio companies on their corporate strategies on an engagement-specific basis.

Dwight is President of Applied Decisions Resources, founded in 1985 to provide consulting services on strategic planning, product management, and pricing with clients ranging from large companies to startups, with a focus on growth and profit acceleration. Prior to his consulting career, Dwight taught economics, pricing, and management at both the undergraduate and M.B.A. levels. Over the years, he has worked with more than 100 companies on consulting engagements, many of which have been multi-year and focused within the telecommunications, medical device, internet, technology, and software spaces.

Dwight served as an officer in the United States Navy and received his Ph.D. at the University of Maryland and his A.B. from Harvard College.
